Testing a New Cladding System

Without exception, every unproven cladding system should be tested to see whether it is fit for its purpose and can resist the weather, before it is applied to a building. Our expertise of the international and national standards allows us to recommend appropriate tests and to monitor the test results. A high proportion of the cases we have worked on have revealed defects at this stage. When a problem is found we ensure it is not just manipulated to pass the test as we so often see attempted, but properly and permanently solved. Once construction is under way, site based testing is necessary to assess the quality of the workmanship.
